I thought this was a presidential election where their plans and knowledge mattered the most. And the media explicitly paid attention to gender and colour of skin.
First ‘female’ president or first ‘black’ president?! That inherently is respectively sexist and racist. Should gender or skin colour matter if a president does its job well?
a lot of people just enjoy being jerks and watching the outrage that ensues. I think also that some men are very upset at having to share the mountain of resources they’ve been so comfortably sitting on for so long!
